Who We Are: About LawBhoomi

Share & spread the love

LawBhoomi is an online portal ‘for learners of law’, started by NLU Grads.

We understand the relevance of reading legal articles and keeping oneself updated with the latest developments in law is unparalleled in the legal field, but finding the right articles to get the hang of a new law/amendment can be a tough task.

Similarly, finding the right material and notes to study from can be challenging for law students. But nothing beats the pain of grinding yourself to find a good internship (of course, unless it’s reading a lengthy court judgment).

But the fact is, even all this also doesn’t suffice because you need to fill that co-curricular section in your CV as well with something and for that you need to be aware of the legal events happening around you in order to participate in them.

But the ultimate issue that most of the students in their final years of laws school face is that of looking for the experienced people in their respective fields who could give them an insight into the real working world.

Managing all of this along with the academics can be difficult for any law student, but not anymore!

LawBhoomi is here to help you with all this and more!

An open access portal that caters to the needs of every law student and provides latest updates on legal opportunities, law notes, notes for exams, career guidance and interviews by eminent legal professionals. LawBhoomi has also taken the initiative of conducting free legal competitions for law students to acknowledge and reward their skills. The various online competitions that are regularly being organized by LawBhoomi include quizzes, essay writing, CV drafting, case summary writing, poster making competitions etc.

The legal opportunities section provides the details of various legal opportunities that a law student can avail to grow their career, including internships, job opportunities, fellowships, and scholarships. A separate section has been dedicated for the legal blogs which is a completely open access law blog which accepts submissions on rolling basis on topics relating to law, to reiterate the importance and multi-disciplinary approach of law with an aim to foster legal research by providing a platform to encourage the original and unpublished work by the authors. Another very relevant section on the portal is the case summaries section, which contains the concise summaries of lengthy legal judgments.

Most importantly, the law students need to know the journeys of established people in the legal fraternity in order to learn from their mistakes and gain from their experiences. Consequently, we have incorporated a section completely devoted to interviews of such experienced people from the fraternity with the aim to provide guidance and motivation to the students. And finally, a section to provide all the information about various law and competitive exams with their syllabi, has also been included keeping in mind the interest of the students.

All of this and more, at one place – LawBhoomi!
